My inspiration comes from personal experiences, from the joy of dance to mundane family life. My art, which started with photography but has diversified to different mediums, endeavors to illicit the audience’s conscious engagement through various means that expound on the themes contained within.Tan Ngiap Heng

A continuing exploration in mainly charcoal of humans forms and faces. Reimagining and reinterpreting the subjects and themes that I have explored in photographs. It is a practice of dancing with dust. I am deeply indebted to Chan Kerk and the other teachers at My Art Space for guiding me on this journey of discovery.
