SIN 2011

In the beginning of 2011, Ivan Kuek, the founder Singapore Instagram approached me to help him organize the first instagram exhibition in Singapore. As an instagram user myself, I found this quite appealing. As I have had experience mounting exhibitions and judging photographic competitions, I helped Ivan mount SIN 2011 at the National Library building. I got Aik Beng Chia and Goh Eck Kheng to help me choose the three hundred exhibited images from eight thousand submissions. For some reason, Goh Eck Kheng cannot remember being part of this historic endeavour. As part of the exhibition activities, we had masterclasses, instagram walks and other events. This was really a fun community project. For whatever reason, I have only iphone images of this event. Perhaps this was meant to be.
